By Roy Mitchell 6 February 2007 –As that McGonagalistic nursery rhyme demonstrates, hedge fund performance can mean different things to differentpeople.
The main reason I invested in a hedge fund was that I did not trust myself. When I had spare capital I felt compelled to buy shares and as I was working long hours at the day job, the extent of my research could be dodgy to say the least. So I was looking to tie up some of my capital in a safe investment vehicle and somewhat surprisingly a hedge fund fitted the bill.
The following is a brief outline of my experience, it should however be borne in mind that all hedge funds are different, and different terms and conditions will apply for each hedge fund.
