(CNBC) Stock futures were flat early on Wednesday after the major averages made a failed attempt at a bounce. Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 0.16% or 51 points, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.17% and 0.19%, respectively.
