MAYBAN Venture Capital Co Sdn Bhd (MVCC) has signed an agreement to invest RM3 million in Intecture Sdn Bhd, an information technology company developing niche e-Government solutions for the globalconstruction industry.
In a statement released in Kuala Lumpur, Intecture said the MVCC investment is managed through Niagara Capital Ventures Sdn Bhd and draws from funds allocated by the Government to nurture technology development in Malaysia.
Intecture, formed in 2001, is a subsidiary of AsiaBuildOnline Sdn Bhd, a research and development company in the development of information and communications technology systems for the construction sector.
Intecture chairman Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam said MVCC’s investment indicates the importance that the bank attaches to the promotion of the Government’s drive for e-governance at all levels.
MVCC chief executive officer Jasmani Abbas said the company sees great potential in Intecture as a new Malaysian e-government player.
