Hong Kong Keeps Minimum Invest For Single-Strategy Hedge Funds

HONG KONG -(Dow Jones)- Hong Kong’s Securities & Futures Commission said Monday it is keeping the minimum subscription requirement for single-strategy hedge funds at US$50,000, citing “the need to ensure investor protection.”

The SFC, which regulates the local securities and mutual fund industries, also said it will maintain current restrictions on the level of collateralization of prime brokers of authorized hedge funds.
