( www.trustnet.com ) – Market hits autumn with an increase in product assurance but with falling tranche size
All but one of the structured products issued in September were closed-ended, with only the Old Mutual Prosper 80 plan operating an open-ended structure.
The structured market has moved into the autumn with a year on year increase in product issuance but a continuing slide in tranche sizes.
Research from srpadviser.com found 58 products were issued over September, up from 47 last year, yet the total size of assets acquired by the market over the year to date is down on last year when £5.5bn had been invested. In 2005 some £4.6bn of assets have accrued over the equivalent period.
