Hedge fund manager Cacioppo says industry coping well

LONDON (Reuters) – Hedge fund assets have surged in recent years while returns have slipped, but the industry that prides itself on flexibility and innovation will come through, a speaker at the Reuters Corporate Finance Summit said.

Jim Cacioppo, president of hedge fund firm Sandell Asset Management, said this week that investors were concerned about overcrowding in the industry and were worried that managers wouldn’t be able to deliver in the future.
