NEW YORK, Oct 11 (Reuters) – Hedge fund Wood River Partners LP, which sources said is under investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, told investors it employed bookkeepers from NAV Consulting, but NAV’s president denied the claim on Tuesday.
“We became aware of the situation last Friday that our name was listed as their bookkeeper or accountant,” said Nav Gupta, president of Oak Brook, Illinois,-based NAV Consulting. “We were totally shocked. We have never done any business with Wood River.”
