HedgeCo.net ( New York )  – CDC Group plc (“CDC” or “Group”), the UK Government-backed emerging market private equity fund of funds investor, today announces that it has appointed MarkKenderdine-Davies as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.  Mark will be responsible for all legal and compliance aspects of CDC’s activities worldwide and will advise the CDC Board andInvestment Committee on legal and governance matters.
 
Mark joins CDC from Gartmore Investment Management plc, where he was Legal Counsel for two years. Prior tothat, he was Legal Counsel at Threadneedle Asset Management Limited. Between 1994 and 2002, he worked in Vietnam as Executive Director of Sandry Investments Limited, an investment company, and, priorto this, as General Counsel and Senior Investment Executive at Indochina Asset Management Limited, an emerging market private equity fund manager.
 
Mark’s roleat CDC includes advising the Group on fund and investment structuring, negotiation and implementation and legal due diligence. He will provide legal oversight and support to CDC’s investment team, aswell as co-ordinating and administering relations with transaction and fund counsel across the markets in which CDC invests.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons) from the University ofLiverpool and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
