Horizon Cash Management Hires New PortfolioManager

HedgeCo.net – CHICAGO, December 12, 2006 – Horizon Cash Management LLC, a leading cash manager for alternative investment funds, today announced that it has hired Amy Walkington as a PortfolioManager, effective immediately.

Ms. Walkington, 35, is responsible for executing a range of investment management strategies for the firm and reports to Jill King, Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Horizon.

The investment management team at the firm is now 15 professionals strong.

“Amy brings substantial expertise in fixed-income markets and will be a tremendous contributor as Horizon continues to build clients and assets,” said Pauline Modjeski, Executive Vice President andManaging Partner at Horizon.

Ms. Walkington most recently served as Senior Fixed Income Trader at ABN AMRO Asset Management.  Prior to ABN AMRO, she was a Portfolio Manager/Trader at McDonnell Investment ManagementLLC.  Ms. Walkington also served as an Assistant Portfolio Manager/Trader at Van Kampen Investments and began her career as a Portfolio Accounting Analyst at Northern Trust.  Ms. Walkingtonearned her MBA in Finance at De Paul University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois.
