(Opalesque) Private Equity has been the top-performing investment sector so far in 2023, according to data from the Association of Investment Companies (AIC). Despite a ‘challenging year’ the sector produced a return of 43 percent in the 11 months to the end of November 2023, compared with the average investment company which returned 3 percent over the same period.
