Bloomberg – Gilbert Saiz, the former head of Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s European fuel-oil desk, plans to start an energy hedge fund.
The Vector Commodity Fund will be based in London and trade crude oil and refined products, John Thompson, a partner at marketer Energy Alpha Strategies, said by e-mail. Vector will start in the “early summer,” Thompson wrote. Saiz, 34, will run the fund and be joined by two other traders, Thompson said.
