The Telegraph – Just like a plotline from a Sky drama, there’s an intriguing twist in the battle for BSkyB. The chief opponent of News Corporation’s bid to buy BSkyB is hedge fund manager Crispin Odey – who is also Rupert Murdoch’s former son-in-law.
Mr Odey, who was briefly married to Pru Murdoch, has long argued that BSkyB’s shares are cheap and that the real value will come through over the next few years. Yesterday his fund, which has held a stake since 2003, was thought to be looking for a bid of as much as 950p.
