Dow Jones – Hedge-fund manager MKP Capital Management, LLC’s global macro fund rose a net 1.8% in July, bringing year-to-date gains to 4.62%, according to a person familiar with the matter.
While the final tally for the hedge-fund industry is still not in yet, the $1.4 billion MKP Opportunity outperformed the HFRX Macro Index’s 1.27% rise for last month. Hedge Fund Research said the index, which tracks a sampling of funds, was down 0.9% this year through July.
