WEST PALM BEACH, FL (HedgeCo.Net) – Van Hedge Fund Advisors International has released its October market sentiment indicators for U.S. equities, the U.S. Dollar and the U.S. Treasury 10-year Note.The released index is a reflection of the views of hedge fund managers overseeing over $33 billion of investor assets.
According to VAN, all the three indicators have turned bearish for the first time since the inception of the report in March 2002. The view on the polled managers has turned negative on the U.S. Dollar, moving further down to 57% in October.
The group�s view on the U.S. Treasury 10-year Note is also bearish, 52% of the managers hold a bearish outlook on the 10-Year T note. On the S&P 500, the managers also hold a pessimistic outlook, 56% of the group expects the index to close lower.
In September 50% of the group held a bearish outlook for US equities, 48% had negative views of US Dollar, while 38% were pessimistic on the 10-Year Treasury note during the same month.
