The Financial Standard – Friday, 21 Oct 2005 09:24AM – All global hedge funds indices are in the black but they are still underperforming local equities.
The results are contained in the just released VAN Global Hedge Fund index report.
The top hedge funds sector for the 12 months to end September were emerging markets special strategies with a 22 per cent annual total return, followed by opportunistic long/short equities with 16.4 per cent, and value long/short equities with 15.7 per cent.
