Hedge Funds Care announced that in 2014, they distributed $85,000 to 6 programs that are preventing and treating child abuse in the Southeast area.
Our 2014 Southeast Grantees:
- Advocates for Bartow’s Children: Provides family assessment, parent education and coaching, and referral services in the homes of at-risk families.Children Photo
- Georgia Center for Child Advocacy: Provides sexual abuse prevention training to adults through the Stewards of Children program.
- Martha O’Bryan Center: Provides a parent education program designed to build on the strengths of vulnerable young families.
- SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center: Provides direct services, such as forensic interviews and expert court testimony, for abused and violence exposed children.
- VOICE Today: Provides child sexual abuse prevention workbooks and workshops, and trains facilitators in using the workbook.
- Young Womens Christian Association of Northwest Georgia: Provides trauma-informed therapy and case management for children exposed to domestic violence.
To date, HFC Southeast has distributed over $600,000 in over 30 grants, helping to impact over 6,000 lives each year.
HFC not only provides funding for child abuse prevention and treatment programs, we also act as an advocate for abused and neglected children who do not have a natural parental constituency advocating for them.
