(Investment Week) Hedge fund quants earned more money in 2015 than some of the biggest active managers on Wall Street, according to the annual ranking by Institutional Investor’s Alpha magazine. The top 25 best paid hedge fund managers earned a combined total of $12.94bn last year, up over 10% from a reported $11.62bn in 2014, according to the FT.
The annual ranking revealed “quants” that use computers to trade financial markets generally sat higher in the list than those who practise active investment based on their own decisions.
