{"id":10193,"date":"2009-03-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-26T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"100-million-recovered-in-hedge-fund-fraud-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/03\/2009\/100-million-recovered-in-hedge-fund-fraud-case.html","title":{"rendered":"$100 million recovered in hedge-fund fraud case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seattle Times &#8211; An official appointed to recover the assets of a prominent Manhattan lawyer accused of defrauding hedge funds of at least $400 million says he has safeguarded more than $100 million in assets, including an $18.5 million yacht. <\/p>\n<p>The court-appointed receiver, Mark Pomerantz, outlined his findings about lawyer Marc Dreier and his 150-lawyer firm, Dreier LLP, in a report made public Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>Dreier, 58, was arrested in December on securities fraud charges.
