Sees More Disclosure by Hedge Funds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York Times &#8211; The Securities and Exchange Commission will urge more public disclosure from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/\">hedge funds<\/a> if Congress follows through with plans to make them register with the agency, the agency&#8217;s chairwoman, Mary L. Schapiro, said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The S.E.C. will probably require \u201csome level of public reporting,\u201d as it currently does for mutual funds, Ms. Schapiro said during a conference at <span class=\"tickerized\">Georgetown University<\/span> in Washington, Bloomberg News reports.
