{"id":13828,"date":"2010-01-26T07:04:51","date_gmt":"2010-01-26T11:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/?p=13828"},"modified":"2010-01-26T07:21:30","modified_gmt":"2010-01-26T11:21:30","slug":"u-k-economy-exits-recession","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/01\/2010\/u-k-economy-exits-recession.html","title":{"rendered":"U.K. Economy Exits Recession"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WSJ &#8211; The U.K. economy crept back to growth in the fourth quarter of 2009, narrowly emerging from a deep recession that began in the second quarter of 2008.<\/p>\n<p>However, growth in the latest quarter was far less than expected, heightening fears that the economy hasn&#8217;t moved decisively out of a long recessionary period.<\/p>\n<p>The Office for National Statistics said Tuesday that gross domestic product in the three months to Dec. 31 increased 0.1% compared with the third quarter.
