{"id":17360,"date":"2010-08-24T06:51:55","date_gmt":"2010-08-24T10:51:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/?p=17360"},"modified":"2010-08-24T06:51:55","modified_gmt":"2010-08-24T10:51:55","slug":"hfmweek-daily-snapshot-24-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/08\/2010\/hfmweek-daily-snapshot-24-august.html","title":{"rendered":"HFMWeek Daily Snapshot &#8211; 24 August"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HFMWeek &#8211; The boyfriend of a former <strong>Walt Disney<\/strong> administrative  assistant admitted to engaging in a scheme to sell early access to the  company&#8217;s earnings report in US district court in   Manhattan yesterday, reports the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yonni  Sebbag<\/strong> and his girlfriend <strong>Bonnie Hoxie<\/strong>, the  former assistant to Disney&#8217;s head of   communications, allegedly contacted more than a dozen hedge funds and  investment companies anonymously in March, offering to provide an early  look at Disney&#8217;s earnings.&#8221;I disclosed material   and non-public information about the Walt Disney to outside  investors,&#8221; Sebbag said. Sebbag pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit  securities fraud and wire fraud and one count of wire fraud.
