Press Release – <\/strong>Industry executives believe the USA, Australia and China will be leading clean coal technology in 5 years\u2018 time. China\u2019s appetite for energy is creating both unpleasant realities and unexpected opportunities.<\/p>\n

The central government has put unprecedented emphasis on clean coal technologies, aggressively pursuing coal gasification as a way to burn coal more cleanly, in order to reduce 40%-45% CO2 emissions by 2020. Active research and deployment of CBM, CTL, Synfuel, IGCC and CCS have already got afoot in China, including Huaneng Group\u2019s CCS pilot projects, PetroChina\u2019s ambitious CBM plan, Shenhua, Yankuang and Lu\u2019an\u2019s CTL Projects .<\/p>\n

Supported by World CTL Association<\/strong>, Carbon Capture & Storage Association<\/strong>, Association of Electricity Producers<\/strong> and Underground Coal Gasification Partnership,<\/strong> World Clean Coal Week China Focus 2010 will be held on Nov. 29 – Dec. 3 in Beijing, China.<\/p>\n

The theme of this year\u2019s conference is \u201cRoadmap to Active Deployment of Cleaner Coal Technologies\u201d. The conference covers a wide spectrum of topics on gasification, coal to liquid, synfuel, power generation and environmental issues.<\/p>\n
