Jubin, DouglasI. Koff, Brian J. O&#8217;Sullivan, Frank Polverino, Jeffrey Y. Rotblat, Martin L. Seidel and Matthew J. Link, Jr., Cadwalader&#8217;s Chairman. &#8220;It is a great pleasure to  congratulate them today and we look forward to their continued success and contributions to the firm in years to come.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>  The following attorneys were elected Partner:<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Michele Cohen, an attorney in the New York Financial<\/p>\n<p>  Restructuring Department, focuses her practice on corporate<\/p>\n<p>  finance and restructuring transactions. She has extensive<\/p>\n<p>  experience in acquisition financings, leveraged restructurings<\/p>\n<p>  and refinancings, and other syndicated lending transactions,<\/p>\n<p>  in addition to high-yield bond issuances, senior and<\/p>\n<p>  subordinated bridge financings, project and structured<\/p>\n<p>  financings, and private placements. Ms. Cohen received her<\/p>\n<p>  B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Georgetown<\/p>\n<p>  University, and her J.D. from New York University School of<\/p>\n<p>  Law.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Anthony Davis, an attorney in the Tax Department, resident in<\/p>\n<p>  London, focuses his practice on a wide range of tax issues in<\/p>\n<p>  the financial sector, handling the tax aspects of<\/p>\n<p>  securitizations, debt issuance and a variety of derivatives<\/p>\n<p>  issues. He also has extensive expertise with UK and<\/p>\n<p>  international tax issues surrounding restructurings and<\/p>\n<p>  corporate reorganizations as well as mergers and acquisitions,<\/p>\n<p>  joint ventures, collective investment schemes and property<\/p>\n<p>  transactions. He graduated with an Upper Second Class<\/p>\n<p>  (Honours) degree from Oxford University and also obtained a<\/p>\n<p>  Masters Degree in Medieval Studies from the University of<\/p>\n<p>  London. He qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and as a Fellow of<\/p>\n<p>  the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1985.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Gregg S. Jubin, an attorney in the Washington Capital Markets<\/p>\n<p>  Department, focuses his practice on corporate and finance<\/p>\n<p>  transactions, with particular emphasis in hedge fund and<\/p>\n<p>  private equity fund-of-funds transactions, structured hedge<\/p>\n<p>  fund transactions, collateralized debt obligations<\/p>\n<p>  transactions, derivative transactions, synthetic structured<\/p>\n<p>  products transactions and other types of structured products<\/p>\n<p>  transactions. Mr. Jubin represents the managers of hedge funds<\/p>\n<p>  and private equity fund-of-funds, collateral managers,<\/p>\n<p>  investment banking firms, commercial banks, broker-dealers and<\/p>\n<p>  other financial institutions. He received his B.S. from<\/p>\n<p>  Montclair State College and his J.D., magna cum laude, from<\/p>\n<p>  Syracuse University College of Law.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Douglas I. Koff, an attorney in the New York Litigation<\/p>\n<p>  Department, focuses his practice on large, complex litigation<\/p>\n<p>  matters. Mr. Koff has played a significant role in the Firm&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>  representation of clients in connection with government<\/p>\n<p>  investigations of IPO, research and mutual fund practices as<\/p>\n<p>  well as matters involving securities laws, derivative<\/p>\n<p>  securities and antitrust. He received his B.A. from Earlham<\/p>\n<p>  College and his J.D. from the Columbia School of Law.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Brian J. O&#8217;Sullivan, an attorney in the New York Litigation<\/p>\n<p>  Department, focuses his practice on complex reinsurance<\/p>\n<p>  litigations and arbitrations. Mr. O&#8217;Sullivan has also handled<\/p>\n<p>  many multi-jurisdictional reinsurance disputes. He received<\/p>\n<p>  his B.A., cum laude, from Boston College and his J.D. from<\/p>\n<p>  Fordham University School of Law.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Frank Polverino, an attorney in the New York Capital Markets<\/p>\n<p>  Department, focuses his practice on commercial mortgage-backed<\/p>\n<p>  securities (CMBS) and residential mortgage-backed securities.<\/p>\n<p>  He has been responsible for a variety of public and private<\/p>\n<p>  CMBS transactions, including fixed-rate conduit, floating-rate<\/p>\n<p>  conduit, large loan, singe asset and seasoned pool deals, as<\/p>\n<p>  well as resecuritization of CMBS. He received his B.S. from<\/p>\n<p>  New York University&#8217;s Stern School of Business and his J.D.,<\/p>\n<p>  cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Jeffrey Y. Rotblat, an attorney in the New York Capital<\/p>\n<p>  Markets Department, focuses his practice on all forms of<\/p>\n<p>  commercial mortgage-backed securitization and<\/p>\n<p>  resecuritizations, real estate and asset backed CDOs, whole<\/p>\n<p>  loan trades, franchise loan securitizations, real estate<\/p>\n<p>  participations and real estate mezzanine lending. He has been<\/p>\n<p>  responsible for all of the legal, real estate and securities<\/p>\n<p>  aspects of CMBS transactions. He received his B.A. from<\/p>\n<p>  Yeshiva University and his J.D., cum laude, from the<\/p>\n<p>  University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was appointed<\/p>\n<p>  to the Moot Court Board.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Martin L. Seidel, an attorney in the New York Litigation<\/p>\n<p>  Department, focuses his practice on complex business<\/p>\n<p>  litigation matters, including corporate control litigation,<\/p>\n<p>  securities fraud class actions, corporate governance<\/p>\n<p>  litigation, antitrust litigation, government investigations,<\/p>\n<p>  internal investigations, and litigation involving contractual<\/p>\n<p>  disputes among major commercial entities in the United States<\/p>\n<p>  and abroad. Mr. Seidel has been involved in matters involving<\/p>\n<p>  complex tender offers, securities fraud, corporate\/fiduciary<\/p>\n<p>  duty, brokerage industry, antitrust and class action<\/p>\n<p>  litigation. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the<\/p>\n<p>  University of Wisconsin and his J.D. from Columbia School of<\/p>\n<p>  Law where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Managing<\/p>\n<p>  Editor of the Columbia Journal of Transactional Law.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8212; Matthew J. Williams, an attorney in the London Banking and<\/p>\n<p>  Finance Department, focuses his practice on high value UK and<\/p>\n<p>  European energy work, including project development and<\/p>\n<p>  financing, financial restructuring, mergers and acquisitions,<\/p>\n<p>  privatizations and commodity\/derivatives trading.
