The phone calls were previously allowed into Rajaratnam\u2019s\u00a0criminal trial last year by former U.S. District Judge Richard Holwell.<\/p>\n<p>Gupta, a former director at Goldman Sachs Group and Procter &amp; Gamble had argued in part that \u00a0federal law doesn\u2019t allow wiretaps to be used \u201cin investigations\u00a0of suspected insider trading\u201d and the wiretaps never should have been allowed into Rajaratnam\u2019s case because they were improperly obtained.
