(\u2018Man\u2019), the $58.4\u00a0billion\u00a0hedge fund investment manager,\u00a0has launched Clarus, an online portal for investors in managed accounts to obtain\u00a0greater transparency in their underlying investments.\u00a0The financial crisis and subsequent shocks in markets have emphasised the need for\u00a0visibility of the risks and liquidity in portfolios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver recent years investors\u2019\u00a0demands have shifted dramatically and people now want to see how assets are\u00a0controlled, that there is good liquidity, and that their cash will be returned when they\u00a0want it. Clarus provides the heightened transparency our investors seek.\u201d\u00a0Eric Burl, Man\u2019s Head of Managed Accounts, said,<\/p>\n<p>Man has developed Clarus to share investment insights with clients and provide more\u00a0data and analysis than historical performance-based reporting.
