{"id":34304,"date":"2013-03-06T13:06:31","date_gmt":"2013-03-06T18:06:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/?p=34304"},"modified":"2013-03-26T08:42:41","modified_gmt":"2013-03-26T12:42:41","slug":"sec-charges-advisers-to-the-rahfco-hedge-funds-with-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/03\/2013\/sec-charges-advisers-to-the-rahfco-hedge-funds-with-fraud.html","title":{"rendered":"SEC Charges RAHFCO Hedge Funds Advisers with Fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/OB-JB329_sec062_G_20100628203904.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-17041\" alt=\"SEC\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/OB-JB329_sec062_G_20100628203904.jpg\" width=\"234\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a>New York (HedgeCo.Net) &#8211; The SEC filed a civil injunctive action in New York relating to two hedge funds &#8212; RAHFCO Funds LP and RAHFCO Growth Fund LP (collectively &#8220;RAHFCO Hedge Funds&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>The Commission charged RAHFCO Management Group, LLC (&#8220;RAHFCO Management&#8221;), a Delaware corporation and general partner of RAHFCO Hedge Funds; its principal, Randal Kent Hansen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Hudson Capital Partners Corporation (HCP), a New York corporation, the sub-adviser\/portfolio manager of RAHFCO Hedge Funds; and Vincent Puma of Morganville, New Jersey, the principal of HCP, with securities fraud, among other violations of the securities laws, for engaging in a fraudulent scheme that defrauded investors out of more than $10 million.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission&#8217;s complaint alleges that the RAHFCO Hedge Funds raised approximately $23.5 million from over 100 investors nationwide between 2007 and the funds&#8217; collapse in about May 2011.
