{"id":3937,"date":"2006-02-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2006-02-03T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"top-lehman-banker-in-europe-to-join-hedge-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/02\/2006\/top-lehman-banker-in-europe-to-join-hedge-fund.html","title":{"rendered":"Top Lehman banker in Europe to join hedge fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reuters &#8211; Benoit d&#8217;Angelin, co-head of European investment banking at Lehman Brothers (LEH.N: <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/overview.aspx?symbol=LEH.N\">Quote<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/CompanyProfile.aspx?symbol=LEH.N\">Profile<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/stocks\/ResearchReports.aspx?symbol=LEH.N\">Research<\/a>), is to leave the U.S. firm tojoin hedge fund Centaurus Capital, the bank said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>  Christian Meissner, currently co-head of German investment banking at Lehman, will replace him alongside Perry Hoffmeister, who is the other co-head of European investment banking.<\/p>\n<p>  D&#8217;Angelin, who has played a major part in building up the bank&#8217;s operations in Europe, has been with Lehman for 12 years.<\/p>\n<p>  D&#8217;Angelin, who has headed European investment banking for six years, told Reuters people might wonder why he was leaving when the firm was so successful.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8220;I think I have achieved all the goals and more that I set myself six years ago.
