BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–July 8, 2003–The New England Venture Capital Association’s (NEVCA) Board of Directors has named Thomas S. Roberts to serve as President for the upcoming two-year term. Mr.Roberts is a managing partner in the Boston office of Summit Partners, a leading private equity and venture capital firm.<\/p>\n
Mr. Roberts has served as a NEVCA Director since 1998. As President, he will oversee all initiatives of the organization, which provides networking, business-building and educational activities for its members. The members of the association represent private equity and venture capital firms throughout New England.<\/p>\n

His non-profit activities include serving as co-chair of private equity fundraising for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, director of Hub Financial Charities, and director and officer of the Princeton Association of New England.<\/p>\n
Mr. Roberts received his A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.<\/p>\n
