{"id":40424,"date":"2014-02-04T10:16:31","date_gmt":"2014-02-04T15:16:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/?p=40424"},"modified":"2014-02-04T10:21:00","modified_gmt":"2014-02-04T15:21:00","slug":"conifer-and-vastardis-merge-to-form-global-hedge-fund-administration-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/02\/2014\/conifer-and-vastardis-merge-to-form-global-hedge-fund-administration-firm.html","title":{"rendered":"Conifer and Vastardis Merge To Form Global Hedge Fund Administration Firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/images-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-40427\" alt=\"images (2)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/images-2.jpg\" width=\"226\" height=\"223\" \/><\/a>New York (HedgeCo.Net) &#8211; Hedge fund administrators\u00a0Conifer Group, LLC, and Vastardis Capital Services Holdings LP. have\u00a0signed a definitive merger agreement combining the two companies to form\u00a0Conifer Financial Services, LLC.<\/p>\n<p>At inception, Conifer Financial Services will have combined assets under administration of more than\u00a0$70 billion\u00a0and offer trade execution services to over 200 clients worldwide, the firms said in a joint statement.<\/p>\n<p>Jack McDonald, currently CEO of Conifer Group, will become President and CEO.\u00a0William Vastardis, Founder and President of Vastardis, will be named Chairman.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Combining our two firms will yield significant benefits for our clients and employees and allows us to realize scale in an industry that increasingly demands it,&#8221; McDonald said. &#8220;The merger brings together Conifer&#8217;s clients in the hedge fund industry with Vastardis&#8217; clients in the fund of fund, endowment\/foundation, private equity, and venture capital spaces.
