{"id":4130,"date":"2006-03-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2006-03-15T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"packer-family-opens-door-to-hedge-fund-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/03\/2006\/packer-family-opens-door-to-hedge-fund-success.html","title":{"rendered":"Packer family opens door to hedge fund success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>  <span>Ellerston Capital begins offshore roadshow to raise $250 million for a long-short hedge fund.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>  Australia\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s Packer family plans to let others in on its private investment strategy by offering local and institutional investors a share in its successful long-short hedge fund called Ellerston  Global Managers.<\/p>\n<p>  The fund\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s executives began an international roadshow this week to raise $250 million from outsiders to invest in \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c5\u201ccore holdings and special situations\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d.
