{"id":44009,"date":"2014-09-15T06:15:45","date_gmt":"2014-09-15T10:15:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hedgeco.net\/news\/?p=44009"},"modified":"2014-09-15T06:15:45","modified_gmt":"2014-09-15T10:15:45","slug":"2014-hfc-southeast-grantees-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/09\/2014\/2014-hfc-southeast-grantees-announced.html","title":{"rendered":"2014 HFC Southeast Grantees Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hedge Funds Care announced that in 2014, \u00a0they distributed $85,000 to 6 programs that are preventing and treating child abuse in the Southeast area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our 2014 Southeast <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hedgefundscare.org\/grantmaking.asp?regionID=4\" target=\"_blank\">Grantees<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Advocates for Bartow&#8217;s Children: Provides family assessment, parent education and coaching, and referral services in the homes of at-risk families.Children Photo<\/li>\n<li>Georgia Center for Child Advocacy: Provides sexual abuse prevention training to adults through the Stewards of Children program.<\/li>\n<li>Martha O&#8217;Bryan Center: Provides a parent education program designed to build on the strengths of vulnerable young families.<\/li>\n<li>SafePath Children&#8217;s Advocacy Center: Provides direct services, such as forensic interviews and expert court testimony, for abused and violence exposed children.<\/li>\n<li>VOICE Today: Provides child sexual abuse prevention workbooks and workshops, and trains facilitators in using the workbook.<\/li>\n<li>Young Womens Christian Association of Northwest Georgia: Provides trauma-informed therapy and case management for children exposed to domestic violence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To date, HFC Southeast has distributed over $600,000 in over 30 grants, helping to impact over 6,000 lives each year.<\/p>\n<p>HFC not only provides funding for child abuse prevention and treatment programs, we also act as an advocate for abused and neglected children who do not have a natural parental constituency advocating for them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hedge Funds Care announced that in 2014, \u00a0they distributed $85,000 to 6 programs that are preventing and treating child abuse in the Southeast area.
