\"business<\/a>New York (HedgeCo.Net) – The Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), the global hedge fund industry association, has announced the formation of a new AIMA Council, AIMA\u2019s global board of directors.<\/p>\n

The 100th edition of the AIMA Journal has also been released. You can download a pdf of it here<\/a>\u00a0or read it online here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extremely pleased to have such a strong Council, and I am grateful to them all for volunteering their time and expertise to AIMA and our members. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those stepping down for their past contributions and support.\u201d Jack Inglis, AIMA\u2019s CEO, said.<\/p>\n

AIMA\u2019s Council is elected every two years and is comprised of members from its three regions \u2013 the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n

Kathleen Casey, AIMA\u2019s Chairman, added: \u201cThe calibre of directors on the new AIMA Council underscores AIMA\u2019s leadership in the industry, and the composition of the board reflects the global reach of our membership. As ever, I am excited to work alongside my AIMA colleagues in serving this vital industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms. Casey is currently a senior advisor with Patomak Global Partners and a non-executive board director of HSBC Holdings.<\/p>\n

The newly elected members of the AIMA Council are:<\/strong>
\nKarl Wachter, General Counsel, Magnetar Capital;
\nEva Sanchez, General Counsel, Citadel Europe; and
\nChoo San Yeoh, Director, Albourne Partners (Asia).<\/p>\n

Those continuing their Directorships of AIMA are:<\/strong>
\nOlwyn Alexander, Partner, EMEA Hedge Funds Leader, PricewaterhouseCoopers;
\nAndrew Bastow, Vice-President \u2013 Head of European Structuring and Regulatory Affairs, AQR Capital Management;

\nStuart Fiertz, President, Cheyne Capital Management;
\nJack Inglis, Chief Executive Officer, AIMA;
\nSimon Lorne, Vice Chairman and Chief Legal Officer, Millennium Management;
\nTim O\u2019Brien, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Pine River Capital Management;
\nChristopher Pearce, Chief Operating Officer, Marshall Wace Asia;
\nHenry Smith, Global Managing Partner, Maples and Calder; and
