Farallon\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s increase  in shares and voting power follows Mills\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 filing last week with the <span class=\"caps\">SEC<\/span> saying it would be late with its quarterly earnings ending March 31. The company has already said  would restate its earnings back to 2000.<\/p>\n<p>  In February, Mills said it retained Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Securities as financial advisers to explore strategic alternatives, including a possible sale. The <span class=\"caps\">SEC<\/span> is  conducting a formal investigation of Mills.<\/p>\n<p>  Also in February, after eliminating 77 jobs, the company hired Balducci\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s <span class=\"caps\">CEO<\/span> Mark S. Ordan as chief operating officer to replace Kenneth R. Parent.
