BOSTON and WAYNE, Pa, August 1, 2006 \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 Fidelity Investments and SunGard (www.sungard.com) today announced an exclusive agreement to integrate the brokerage services of Fidelity\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s Registered Investment Advisor Group with the transaction processing capabilities of the SunGard Transaction Network (STN).<\/p>\n
Through the joint offering, approximately 600 financial intermediary customers with assets of over $100 billion, currently using STN, will have access to an enhanced set of services accessible through a single connection, helping them to more effectively process their clients\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 wealth management and retirement plan needs. The offering also will be available to Fidelity\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s 170 bank trust and third-party administrator customers, as well as other financial intermediaries in these markets.<\/p>\n
The ability to access a complete set of trade automation technology and brokerage services from a single platform will help intermediaries, such as banks, trust providers and retirement plan recordkeepers, conduct mutual fund trading and settlement, and simplify administration, accounting and reporting, while achieving straight-through processing.<\/p>\n
As part of the agreement, Fidelity will be the provider of brokerage, custody and clearing services for customers of STN Funds.1 STN Funds will continue to provide trade automation, systems integration and software solutions. Fidelity and SunGard will jointly market and distribute the enhanced service to financial intermediaries, including existing customers of STN Funds. Both firms are also committed to investing in technology to further enhance the joint offering and integration with SunGard\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s recordkeeping and trust systems.<\/p>\n
