The index gained a whopping total of 0.06% on the week. Trade was choppy with Monday and Friday showing decent declines and Tuesday and Thursday showing small gains. Wednesday saw the index gain 1.2% and that is the only thing that kept the index from dropping for a third straight week. We could see a choppy week this week as well with the FOMC meeting and rate decision in the middle of the week. Looking at the HedgeCoVest models, we see that the mock portfolios containing the top five models and the top 10 models continue to shine even as the overall market continues to struggle.
