(Business Insider) Billionaire hedge fund manager David Tepper sent out a rare public letter to the board of one of his holdings, TerraForm Power, a company that owns and manages solar-energy projects.Appaloosa, Tepper’s fund, holds TerraForm Power stock and senior notes, according to the letter.TerraForm Power’s stock surged 22% in trading on Tuesday on Tepper’s disclosure of a position in the company.The crux of the letter is that Tepper is upset about TerraForm Power’s relationship with its parent company, SunEdison, a solar-power manufacturer.<\/p>\n
