As investors rebalance portfolios and change their allocations, hedge funds usually see outflows during the month of January. However, the most recent report from the SS&#038;C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index showed that the outflows weren\u2019t as bad in January 2016 as they were in January 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The index shows an outflow rate of 2.77% which compares favorably to the 3.28% seen in 2015.<br \/>\nFrom the company\u2019s press release:<br \/>\n\u201cJanuary typically sees the highest outflows of any month as investor rebalancing occurs,&#8221; said Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, SS&#038;C Technologies. &#8220;This seasonality can be seen in SS&#038;C GlobeOp&#8217;s Capital Movement Index for January 2016 which came in at -2.77% following a gain of 0.75% for December 2015.
