They have launched the Explorer Emerging Europe Fund, a long short equity fundbroadly focused on the 25+ countries in the Emerging European sector.&nbsp;<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/><span>DB Advisors Capital Management, the single manager and multi-strategy hedge fund business within Deutsche Bank Asset Management seeded the Explorer Capital Emerging Europe Fund with anundisclosed investment.<br \/><\/span>&nbsp;<br \/>Steffen Gruschka was previously Managing Director and Head of Emerging Europe investments at DWS (Deutsche Bank). Mr Gruschka has had 8 years of investment experience in the region and managed over$5 billion in Emerging Europe and Russia funds. During his tenure at Deutsche Bank the assets under management increased from $50 M to $5 billion and Mr Gruschka consistently outperformed benchmarksand received several awards.<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>Ashwan Khanna was previously Managing Director at Galleon Group where he was head of business development and Co-PM on their external hedge fund investment portfolio.<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>The Explorer funds have an absolute return target and will leverage the experience, knowledge, track record and relationships of Mr Gruschka. The Fund will be run primarily as a stock-picking fund.Top down factors will be used to optimize the overall risk\/return characteristics of the portfolio.
