— Jesse Shefferman takes the position of senior salesperson on<\/p>\n
the New York team for Pan European Equity Sales. He will<\/p>\n
report to Nick Hiley, head of brokerage and will be<\/p>\n
responsible for sales to institutional clients, especially in<\/p>\n
the Boston area. He joins from Salomon Smith Barney, Boston<\/p>\n
where he was vice president, European Equity Sales. Other<\/p>\n
prior positions include Schroder Salomon Smith Barney, London<\/p>\n
and Credit Suisse First Boston, Houston & London. He holds a<\/p>\n
B.S. in Accounting from Gordon College.<\/p>\n
— John Geron joins as a trader in New York for Pan European<\/p>\n
Equity Trading. He will report to David Hegarty, trader, Pan<\/p>\n
European Equity Trading. He was previously with Bear Stearns &<\/p>\n
Company in New York as vice president, International Equities<\/p>\n
Trading. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Hobart & William<\/p>\n

— Puru Sareen becomes a salesperson in Equity Derivatives Sales,<\/p>\n
New York. He will report to Kumar Doraiswami, head of<\/p>\n
Institutional Sales. He comes from Merrill Lynch, New York<\/p>\n
where he was an institutional investment strategist. He held<\/p>\n
other previous positions with Credit Suisse First Boston, New<\/p>\n
York, Deutsche Bank, New York, Bankers Trust Company, New York<\/p>\n
and Johnson Matthey Bankers, New York. He holds an MBA in<\/p>\n
finance from New York University, M.S. & B.S. degrees in<\/p>\n
chemistry and chemical engineering respectively from Birla<\/p>\n
Institute of Technology & Science, India.<\/p>\n
— Erik Palmetto joins as a trader on the Securities Finance<\/p>\n
team, New York. He will report to John Kolb, head of<\/p>\n
Securities Finance. He transfers from Commerz Securities<\/p>\n
(Japan) Company Limited where he was an equity repo trader in<\/p>\n
International Securities Finance. He was previously with Bear<\/p>\n
Stearns & Company in New York, London, & Japan and Saratoga<\/p>\n
Economic Development Corporation, New York. He holds a B.S. in<\/p>\n
Marketing & Management from Siena College.<\/p>\n
