A link to Nomura, which is based in Tokyo, would enable Fortress to sell hedge funds and other  products in Asia, the firms said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>  Nobuyuki Koga, Nomura\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s chief executive, has been seeking ways to cut his firm\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s reliance on domestic stock trading, which produces 30 percent of revenue, while expanding globally to compete with  <a title=\"Goldman Sachs\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/mem\/MWredirect.html?MW=http:\/\/custom.marketwatch.com\/custom\/nyt-com\/html-companyprofile.asp&amp;symb=GS\">Goldman Sachs<\/a> and <a title=  \"Morgan Stanley\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/mem\/MWredirect.html?MW=http:\/\/custom.marketwatch.com\/custom\/nyt-com\/html-companyprofile.asp&amp;symb=MS\">Morgan Stanley<\/a>.
