HedgeCo \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 Anne Marie Gagnon has joined hedge fund firm Voyager Management, LLC as a partner responsible for strategic and business development, including global marketing and distribution to the firm\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s private client and institutional investors.<\/p>\n
The partnership appointment was announced by Christopher W. Knight and Lyle S. Poncher who co-founded Voyager Management ten years ago to offer multi-manager hedge fund investments with a global long\/short equity focus.<\/p>\n
Based in Santa Monica, the firm has strengthened its global reach by establishing representation in Tokyo and recently opening an office in New York City. Gagnon, who will head the firm\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s New York office, has over 20 years of experience in portfolio management for hedge funds, private clients, insurance companies and institutional investors. Prior to joining Voyager, she led Morgan Stanley\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s effort in building a hedge fund-of-funds platform, including both private and registered funds for distribution into the firm\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s Global Wealth Management Division.<\/p>\n
Previously, Gagnon had served as a portfolio manager at JP Morgan where she was responsible for product development in their alternative investment business and oversaw the successful launch of BlueCrest Capital, two SEC Registered funds and an offshore insurance vehicle for a major global bank.<\/p>\n

Gagnon\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s earlier positions include serving as CIO of Partner Re and as Senior Vice President at XL Capital\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009dtwo NYSE listed insurance companies \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009d where she invested traditional and alternative assets globally. She began her career abroad, managing global fixed income portfolios at James Capel Ltd. and The Bank of Bermuda.<\/p>\n
Gagnon earned her Bachelor of Arts at Bowdoin College with a double major in government and psychology.
