announced that Paul A. Freilich has joined the firm as General Counsel. In this newly created position, Mr. Freilich, 46, will be responsible for all matters relating to legal and compliance issues and will work closely with Darryl B. Thompson, President
of Stonebrook. <\/div>\n

“Paul brings a solid legal background with the added ability to help develop structured investments as we look to diversify our Alternative Beta product roster,\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d said Mr. Thompson. Stonebrook recently launched an Alternative Beta product in a fund format – the first of its kind in the U.S. <\/div>\n

The product uses a patent-pending methodology and technology that seeks to match the performance of the hedge fund industry by investing in a portfolio of liquid financial instruments in order to replicate the risk-return profile of the major hedge fund indices. The product allows qualified individuals, institutions and financial advisors access to hedge fund-type returns with transparency, liquidity and no headline risk. <\/div>\n

Paul A. Freilich was most recently a Managing Director for Structured Products at Pali Capital, Inc. where he was responsible for the creation, marketing and execution of structured investment strategies. Prior to Pali Capital, he was an Executive Director at UBS Warburg LLC where he was responsible for the creation and marketing of various equity derivatives strategies. <\/div>\n
  <\/div>\n
He also served as Senior Tax Counsel at UBS AG (Swiss Bank), where he was responsible for all aspects of research, planning and compliance for U.S. subsidiaries. Mr. Freilich received his JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, an LLM in Taxation from New York University, and a BS in Accounting from the State University of New York. <\/div>\n
