The companies are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/?symbol=8001.T-JP\">Itochu Corp<\/a>., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/?symbol=8002.T-JP\">Marubeni Corp.<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/?symbol=8058.T-JP\">Mitsubishi Corp.<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/?symbol=8031.T-JP\">Mitsui &amp; Co<\/a>., and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/?symbol=8053.T-JP\">Sumitomo Corp<\/a>. Berkshire said it acquired the holdings over a roughly 12-month period through regular purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
