Stocks were mixed in the past week ahead of the long Labor Day weekend, with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.IXIC\">Nasdaq<\/a> outperforming, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.SPX\">S&amp;P 500<\/a> rising slightly and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.DJI\">Dow<\/a> flat.
