Friday\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/02\/04\/jobs-report-january-2020-.html\">report of 467,000 jobs added<\/a> in January confounded Wall Street economists, some of whom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/02\/03\/january-jobs-report-could-show-omicron-caused-sharp-fall-in-payrolls.html\">expected a negative number<\/a> due to the impact of the omicron Covid variant on the workforce. The report was also stunning in other ways.
