The yield on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/US5Y\">5-year Treasury note<\/a> retreated 7 basis points to 2.495% in afternoon trading, while the yield on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/US30Y\">30-year Treasury bond<\/a> was down about 6 basis points to 2.518%. The yield on the benchmark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/US10Y\">10-year Treasury note<\/a> dropped about 8 basis points to 2.4%.
