{"id":8237,"date":"2008-07-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-07-30T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"turkeys-first-hedge-funds-coming-into-being-shortly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hedgeco.net\/news\/07\/2008\/turkeys-first-hedge-funds-coming-into-being-shortly.html","title":{"rendered":"Turkey&#8217;s first hedge funds coming into being shortly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Todays Zaman- Licensed just a few months ago, Turkey&#8217;s first hedge funds will likely embark on operations by mid-September, Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD) President G&uuml;r &Ccedil;a&#287;da&#351; has said.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Reuters yesterday, &Ccedil;a&#287;da&#351; said with the funds, an important and attractive financial instrument would be available to domestic and foreign investors.<\/p>\n<p>The government opened the door in March 2008 for the establishment of hedge funds in Turkey and since then, Garanti Bankas&#305;, &#304;&#351; Yat&#305;r&#305;m and Oyak Securities have acquired the necessary licenses for creating and running such funds.
