Investors also digested a stronger than expected <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/02\/15\/retail-sales-january-2023-.html\">U.S. retail sales<\/a> report from Wall Street. Hong Kong\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.HSI\/\">Hang Seng index<\/a>\u00a0led gains in the region as it surged 2%, while the Hang Seng Tech index jumped 3.53%.
