Leike announced his resignation from OpenAI early on May 15, days before the company\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2024\/05\/17\/openai-superalignment-sutskever-leike.html\">dissolved the superalignment group<\/a>\u00a0that he co-led. That team, formed in 2023, focused on long-term AI risks.
