Boeing in March disclosed that it was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2024\/03\/01\/spirit-aerosystems-boeing.html\">in talks to acquire<\/a>\u00a0the Wichita, Kansas-based company, weeks after a fuselage panel blew out midair from a nearly new Boeing 737 Max 9 on an Alaska Airlines flight.
